Kids nowadays are....well, just too nasty

Princess Cheryl's thought of the day:- Beijing Olympic has finally ended... I missed the live telecast of the closing ceremony because I was still on the way back from KL. Only able to watch around 30 minutes during the artists performance when I was having dinner. I feel proud being a Chinese when this 29th Olympic games is described as "Never Before Comparable". Looking forward for the 30th Olympic in London. By then, should I have a chance to watch it in London?

The class called on James to start things off.

James returned to his seat. The teacher called on Ernie next.

Ernie returned to his seat. Now it was Suzy's turn.

Suzy returned to her seat. Next, the teacher called Jerry to the board.

Kim's turn. Then she returned to her seat.

About this time, little Johnny began waving his arm hysterically. Little Johnny was well known for being off center, so the teacher was reluctant to call on him for anything. But as the teacher looked at the picture on the chalkboard, she thought that there was no way that little Johnny could possibly do anything to make this picture dirty. So she called on little Johnny, and he ran to the chalkboard.

The entire class erupted with laughter... the teacher fainted. Little Johnny had done it again.

Are your eyes 'Chinese'?

Princess Cheryl's thought of the day:- Yippee! It's Friday again~ I'm going to KL to attend a convo, and also SHOPPING! Although I'm not a shopaholic but most of the time I tend to lose control in buying skin care products and soft toys... Ok, I need The Faceshop Su-hyang Snow balancing fluid, Avene thermal spring water, and a new top....maybe? XD

So here's an eye test for you. If you cannot decipher anything, then try pulling the corner of your eyes as if your were Chinese.

Awesome? Hahah...so now I know what's so special about 'Chinese eyes'.

Girls vs Boys in early morning

Princess Cheryl's thought of the day:- Girls and boys are definitely different! Or else why do we need to separate into different genders?

Illustration speaks universal language. Hope you enjoy my story of the day.

Mamma Mia! The Movie

Mamma Mia, here I go again. My, my, how can I resist you?

Gosh gosh!! Nuffnang is hold a simultaneous Premiere Screenings of Mamma Mia! Thank you Wenzi...so much so much for telling me immediately after you read the post! Well I was busy with work whole day and super tired....but I'm too excited over it right now, as musical blockbusters always make me thrilled~

So this post is dedicated to myself with the objective to grab 2 tickets for the premiere screening of Mamma Mia! The Movie. =) I love Meryl Streep so much...I mean she's really one great actress and I'm kind of watching many of her movies since small. And for ABBA....ooo....yea yea how can I resist??! The darn familiar tunes of "Mamma mia" had accompanied us since our childhood days, not only us but our parents too.

Ok, some storyline to share with the people out there before going for the screenings~ It's a cut and paste synopsis from Nuffnang's page. Oh...I just couldn't wait to see them dance and sing~

A quick snippet of the storyline for the movie as followed; It is 1999 on the enchanting Greek island of Kalokairi. Our romantic adventure begins at the remote Mediterranean hotel Villa Donna, run by Donna (Meryl Streep), daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried)and Sophie’s fiancé Sky (Dominic Cooper).

Just in time for her upcoming marriage, Sophie nervously posts three wedding invitations (“I Have a Dream”) to three different men, any of whom she believes may be her father. From three cities across the globe, three men set off to return to the island—and the woman—that had enchanted each of them 20 years earlier.

Back on that island, Donna is rousing her staff for the frenetic day ahead as ophie’s bridesmaids arrive and she shares with her best mates a scandalous secret: ophie has found her mother’s diary and learned she has three possible dads—usinessman Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan), adventurer Bill Anderson (Stellan karsgård) and banker Harry Bright (Colin Firth). Without telling her mum, she has invited all three to her wedding (“Honey, Honey”), believing that after she spends time with them, she will at last know who her real father is.

So I hope this favours you as well...get a ticket and watch on 25th September 08 in Malaysia cinemas. As for me....NUFFIES!! I hope I can meet you all at GSC Gurney Plaza Penang on 22nd September lolz!

Oh yeah...let's do it again....MAMMA MIA! HERE I GO AGAIN. MY, MY, HOW CAN I RESIST YOU?

So gimme 2 tickets please *wink wink* (o*v*o)

Princess' magic potion - c'mon let's enjoy high tea

What do you usually eat/drink for a quick high tea? When you're lazy to go out....or when you're having a hectic day and cannot go for tea.... This is my "special combo" for high tea....MUNCHY's CHOC-O-MOCHA-CHIPS + Aik Cheong CAPPUCCINO....

With just less than RM4 I can enjoy high quality delicacies! How I love the aroma of Cappuccino...and I love dipping the mocha cookies with hazel nuts into the smooth creamy cappuccino. It's as good as enjoying a cup of Starbucks latte plus their expensive brownies/cookies with nuts. I am addicted and so do my friends.

So when you're doing grocery shopping later, don't forget to get a packet of MUNCHY's Mocha-chips plus Aik Cheong's Cappuccino for a try. Trust me, you'll like it. Even my lil' MOCCO & COCCO love it~

Life is beautiful with a little "magic", so I always get to enjoy life even with only a little money in my pocket.

"Magic" = "Creativity" + "Passion"

Who says you cannot enjoy if you're poor?! I still get to live like a princess. =D

*Sob sob* Chong Wei lost...to Lin Dan

The picture says it all... anyway Lin Dan's performance really impressed me! So there goes our Badminton Gold Medal to China~ But still you're our hero, Chong Wei!

An easy gold for China's world champ Posted Sunday, August 17, 2008 6:46 AM ET

Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia BEIJING (AP) - China's Lin Dan has won the gold medal in men's singles at the Olympic badminton tournament, defeating Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei in straight sets.

Top-seeded Lin was in control from the outset Sunday and coasted to a 21-12, 21-8 win over the second-seeded Lee to give China its third gold medal in badminton.

Lin took an 11-1 lead in the second game with Lee's only point coming on an unforced error by Lin.

Lee was bidding for Malaysia's first gold medal in the Olympics but was no match for the top-ranked Lin, who won the match with a smash down the line that Lee returned into the net.

I think I found another "idol" today after going through his profile. In case you do not know who is Lin Dan's girl friend, she's Xie Xingfang.

Princess' summer in Langkawi ~ WaCky feRRy riDe

Oct 13th, 2007 - Ok here's how the story started... It was the first day of Hari Raya Haji, thus we opted for a weekend getaway to Langkawi in the last minute. Usually I wouldn't like to rush for hotel booking and ticketing stuff everytime I go for travel, but since this trip was a last minute decision then I didn't have other choices... Anyway, I really had a care-free vacation, because I passed the trip planning task to my dear....heheheh....and all I did was just hopped onto the ferry and done deal.

Early in the morning the jetty was already crowded with people. Nowadays a lot of people like to go for vacation during public holidays; I still remember when we were small, the shopping outlets and restaurants would be very crowded during public holidays, unlike the trend now, where quite a number of families travel to outstation.

If you're not familiar with Penang Island, the jetty where we boarded the ferry is at Port Swettenham, located beside Fort Cornwallis. You can find a landmark there - the Clock Tower.

So there I was, waiting to board the ferry, all dressed up in sunny orange~ Well, I just realized that I usually wear orange outfit everytime I go travel...is that my subconscious or what... Ya I think I have lots more to write about orange outfits in my later posts... XD

Since it's quite boring sitting in the cabin, we decided to seek for some excitement on the ferry's upper deck.... Afterall we've had enough camwhoring.

Sunshine here I come!! Hey I can tell you that the feeling is awesome~ Was like MildSeven Seafarers' Club lolz... And many people were enjoying the sea breeze, erm...perhaps strong wind is more suitable to describe.

I should tie my hair instead! Don't ever wear a wig without a cap if you want to get to the upper deck.

This is Pulau Payar Marine Park, another hot spot for snorkeling and water activities. It lies around 30km south-east of Langkawi. There is an underwater observation chamber to view the marine life surrounding a reef. No resorts but it is perfect for a one-day outing.

Continued camwhoring... My hair tangled...haiz.

2 and a half hours later we finally reached our destination. I've been longing to visit the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club; almost all Langkawi websites publishes attractive photos of this beautiful place. And upon reaching the jetty, the yachts had caught my eyes!

The Langkawi jetty is very well maintained compared to many other jetties, it is even bigger than the Kuala Terengganu airport. Fully air-conditioned and full of shop lots, this jetty looks exactly like an airport.

Along the walkway there were many car rental agencies trying to drag customers to rent their car. What else can you see from the jetty? Dataran Lang with the biggest eagle statue!

The outlook of the jetty is very similar to an airport. I took the photo across the road opposite the jetty. There we tried to rent a car, but due to public holiday the rental price increased tremendously. Even a Kancil costed us RM70 per day! Isshhh...RM140 for 2 days! Some more petrol not included. According to my friends who went there in the low seasons, that was almost double their normal price.

There were people distributing free maps of Langkawi at the jetty, really a good way of promoting tourism in our country and also showing hospitality to the tourists. I like it!

Woohoo~ here's where our journey began - from the jetty to Pantai Kok. Although Langkawi is also an island as Penang is, but the lifestyle there is totally different. You can feel nature everywhere, I felt rejuvenated. Paddy fields, sandy beaches, coconut trees, blue sky~ What could be better!

He drove of course...so that I could enjoy the perfect scenery along the beaches! Wuahahahha.... Till then, I shall show you some reptiles in my next post. Yup, the Taman Buaya Langkawi (Langkawi Crocodile Farm). =)

Bye bye~
