Dragon9ine Fine Dining Penang - Have you tried Chinese Fine Dining?

So... that was a surprise treat from the boss regarding my previous post on Dragon9ine! In fact, this round we have a new chef on board! Chef Pele Khor, an experienced chef who had worked in Dubai and Moscow prior coming back to Malaysia. So obviously the menu in Dragon9ine is now up one level, with fine dining. If fine dining is the "not-enough-to-fill-up-your-stomach" meal in your mind, Dragon9ine will prove the perception wrong. I've had French fine dining before and yes I only manage to fill up half of my stomach... BUT... Dragon9ine's fine dining is like enjoying the dishes of a Chinese Wedding Banquet meal, but you can have it just for 2 people, in a romantic ambiance. At RM69.90+ (10% service tax with a minimum order of 2 pax), you will be served with 11 items in total, with 4 entrées, 4 main courses, 1 dessert and 2 beverages. Menu might be changed from time to time.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with 2 glasses of red wine. That was also part of the menu.

When we talk about food, our mind will unconsciously comparing the prices from one to another, especially when it comes to non-hawker food. Have you ever think about how much you love your food or how your food loves you? How much do you know about the cleanliness and safety of food that you put into your mouth? How much effort does the chef put in to your food to ensure you eat safely and healthily? These questions have been rolling in my mind, and finally, yesterday, my doubts were cleared when we dined at Spice Market Cafe, Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa.

Spice CSL DS700 Launch - Transformers on the go!
Be it Bersih or no Bersih protest in Penang on 9th July, we were lucky to be invited to the exclusive event of Spice CSL DS700 Transformers phone road show at Queensbay Mall last Saturday. It is the world's first Transformers mobile phone by Spice CSL and Hasbro. The launching was in conjunction with the release of blockbuster Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Good Friend Seafood Bayan Lepas Penang 好友海鲜 - 2nd branch of Good Friend Seafood Teluk Kumbar

Good Friend Seafood Teluk Kumbar had established their second branch at Sungai Tiram Bayan Lepas!! You can now have lunch instead of waiting until dinner time to taste their scrumptious seafood.
Mini highlights about this branch which is located right at the Bayan Lepas FIZ area:
i) Ample parking space 8am - 5pm(RM1 per entry), after 5pm free parking. The parking rate information provided is accurate at this point of time and may not be the same in the future.
ii) This branch provide outdoor delivery (lunch hour only) to Bayan Lepas factory workers with minimum order of 10packs @RM6.50 (3 dishes + rice) per pack. (Dishes customizable is allowed)
iii) Catering Service : minimum 60 persons. 30pax to 50 pax (self collection)
iv) Seating Capacity - Ground floor 10 table x 10pax; 1st floor 10 table x 10 pax
This new branch is a more proper chinese restaurant compared to the origin where it's with open air seating by the seaside of Teluk Kumbar.

Santorini Cafe Penang Burma Road 爱琴海 - more than just a dining place
This is an invited review by Foodtok.com to Santorini Cafe. Because of the name Santorini, I've always wanted to pay a visit to temporarily satisfy my desire of travelling to Greece... such a romantic name for a cafe. This was my first outing with the Penang top floggers (food bloggers)~ Super fun!! And this officiates Princess Cheryl as a member of Penang food blogger community. Yeah~~
We were amazed that with so many items we tried during the food tasting, there were still loads more in the menu to be explored. In brief, this is a place worth visiting if you would like to try different varieties of home-cook meal (no MSG). I like the relaxing ambiance where most of the walls are colored blue. I believe it is also a cozy spot for chit chats in the afternoon.
