FUCKING da town

WAIT!! Don't judge yet when you see da FUCKING word. I'm not cursing...

See this first. It's an Austrian village named FUCKING, in the municipality of Tarsdorf, in the Innviertel region of western Upper Austria. The village is located 33 kilometres north of Salzburg, four kilometres east of the German border.

Are the residents called Fuckers?
What are the mothers called?
What would you be learning at the Fucking High School ?
Does the Fucking Hospital help you with anything else?
If your friend came from another town, he wouldn't be your Fucking friend.

I retype the article so that it's easier for you to read.
LONDON: (AFP) British tourists have left the residents of one charming Austrian village effing and blinding by constantly stealing the signs for their oddly named village.
White British visitors are finding it hillarious, the residents of Fucking are failing to see the funny side.
Only one kind of criminal ever stalkes the sleepy 32-house village near Salzburg on the German border – cheeky British tourists armed with a sense of humour and a screwdriver.
But the local authorities are hitting back and with the signs now set in concrete, police chief Kommandant Schmidtberger is on the lookout.
“We will not stand for the Fucking signs being removed,” the office said.
“It may be very amusing for you British, but Fucking is simply Fucking to us. What is this big Fucking joke? It is puerile.”
Local tourist guide Andreas Behmueller said it was only the British that had a fixation with Fucking.
“The Germans all want to see the Mozart house in Salzburg,” he explained.
“Every American seems to care only about The Sound of Music (the 1965 film shot around Salzburg). The occasional Japanese wants to see Hitler’s birthplace in Brauman.
“But for the British, it’s all about Fucking.”
Guesthouse manager Augustina Lindbauer described the village’s breathtaking lakes, forests and vistas.
“Yet still there is this obsession with Fucking,” she said.
“Just this morning I had to tell an English lady who stopped by that there were no Fucking postcards.”

This village does exists!! Go check out Google.

Now, this one is really good!
The sign says 'Bitte! Nicht so schnell', which in English translates to 'Please! Not so fast!

More tidbits, and it gets even funnier! ..
Pronounced 'fooking'.
The little hamlet of Fucking is named after the man who founded the village in the 6th century.
His name? Focko.

NOW YOU CAN FORWARD THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE FUCKING TOWN. =)

(the above FUCKING info was shared by my friend through email)

T.H.A.I.L.A.N.D

M.A.L.A.Y.S.I.A
Man and lady are you still in adoration?

We see affection even in the names of the countries, so shouldn't we love the world too?? (Although it's more of romance instead of love for all...) I've always been thinking, if I have the chance to participate in saving the world, which one should come first - Environmental? Health & humanity? Children? Or the animals?

If I could spend months to years doing charity, which one should I go for? I cannot answer, and I do not know....BUT if I could live up to 100 years old, I know where will I be after I retire! The vision for the destiny is still blur, but I can sense that I'll be spending much time to help preserving mother earth in person, not just by donation.

What I can do right now is helping out with my ability - donate some money (not much but the sincerity is always more important) to the needy. Dad had always told me - CHARITY STARTS FROM YOUR HOME, if everyone loves and cares their own family and people around them, we don't even need charity organizations. One good deed per day from everyone is good enough for the world.

I did more than a good deed in this week....donations and vote for donation~ And I hope I can do my part to drive the spirit a little, by sharing it with everyone who has the ability to do so. Let's help these people... When we are complaining about our food tastes bad, someone out there died in hunger. Should we feel blessed? Look at these children...

Get a wrist band at just RM2 and your kindness will save more starving people. They didn't choose to live in this way, indeed their fate has decided for them... Lend a helping hand and deliver warmth to them. Warm the hearts of the people, not contribute to global warming. You can make a difference - contribute in the World Hunger Relief Week. Save your RM2 for a KFC Cheezy Wedges or Pizza Hut Parmesan Stick and contribute to charity. We can still get our Cheezy Wedges in the next meal, but they might not be seeing the world anymore in the next day...

And, help to vote in Tripadvisor's "More than Footprints" campaign. Tripadvisor is one of my favourite websites as it has given me much info on travelling ideas. I'm glad that despite business terms, this organization is also helping the world. They are giving away $1 MILLION to one of the organizations below:

  • Conservation International
  • Doctors Without Borders
  • National Geographic
  • The Nature Conservancy
  • Save the Children

To me, it is not just about voting for which, it is one good opportunity for us to understand what is going on in the world today. Not just about politicss or economy, what is the trend of the share market today, or who won the beauty pageant contest... Take a look from another view on our mother earth.

We are the people who work to support our living, yet we still complain everyday that MONEY NOT ENOUGH, TIME NOT ENOUGH, NO MOOD....blah blah blah.... I really really salute these volunteers who strived to go against hard times and hell-like situations in order to save people and save the nature. Can you work hard without getting any income? They can... So what we can help? Give appreciation...and respect...

If I have a son or a daughter in future, I will definitely tell him or her, "Bie, whenever you save your pocket money, keep a little portion for the needy. May it be for human or animal or the environment, just make sure you contribute some love and care to the world after your family and friends." Doing charity doesn't need any appreciation, or wait until a charity dinner that urge for donation -- MR. XXX donated RM100k for XXX.... this is materialistic and yet the world today is so materialistic until lots of people has forgotten about the altruistic part in them.

No need to wait for another Tsunami or another Szichuan earthquake then only we do charity. Let's heal the world. If you still remember this...

HEAL THE WORLD

There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much
Brighter than tomorrow
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow

There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space
Make a better place

Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place
For you and for me

If you want to know why
There's a love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares of joyful giving
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel, fear or dread
We stop existing and start living

Then it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
Make a better world
Make a better world

Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place
For you and for me

And the dream we were conceived in
Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in
Will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify its soul
Though it's plain to see
This world is heavenly
Be God's glow

We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart
I feel you are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together we'll cry happy tears
See the nations
Turn their swords into plowshares

We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
Make a little space
To make a better place

Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place
For you and for me

And always remember, charity starts from people around you; and if everyone do their part, we can reduce much suffer in the world. Do a good deed to yourself by taking care of our earth and its people, because we're a part of it.

The tallest skyscraper in the world ~ Burj Dubai

One thing I love about architecture - man build wonders! Even the "old-eight-tonne" geographic of Shanghai can support so many highrise buildings such as JIN MAO TOWER.

Have you ever try to imagine to imagine yourself standing at the top floor of a building over 600 meters high? JIN MAO TOWER is already 421 meters high!

And that you need to look for a lift button up to 3 digits? It's nearly 200....

And that when you reach the 110th floor, you have stepped under your feet the largest number of floors in any building in the world! *puzzled*

Let me present you BURJ DUBAI, the world's tallest skyscrapper today!

In time to come, you will see buildings in the clouds....is this call HEAVEN? Well, this is part of the Burj Dubai Downtown layout. So if you think that you are hopeless to squeeze into the gates of heaven, migrate and stay in Dubai.

And here's the bird's eye view of the whole town layout. Amazingly COOL!

Dubai claimed that it is going to have the largest number of supertalls with 7 under developement and 5 new towers will be announced with over 100 storeys.

Find out more about this man-built wonder here. I recommend you to read an interesting interview with the creator of Burj Dubai, Adrian Smith, on Khaleej Times.

But before that just take another look at this great BURJ.... This picture is taken from the upper most Girders.... Look at the edge (uppermost right corner) of the picture, you can almost see the turn of the earth. So if you are working on construction of this amazing skyscraper, you can actually see the "ROTATION OF EARTH"!

So terrifying.... Are your legs shaky right now?

All it takes - only 5 pens...

5 elegantly designed pen. What to do with these??!

"Ok, wait a minute. I'm a Transformer you know?"

"Transformers....there you go!"

"Yea, don't drop your jaw..."

"See? You don't even need to buy a keyboard!"

Amazing right?!! Then we can bring it along anytime anywhere with lower risk of getting stolen. And life as a blogger will be even merrier. =D

A world made of oranges

I love the world very very much. It keeps on giving us surprises and hope.
Never thought that oranges can be artistic too, besides providing us with Vitamin C.
This proves that nothing is impossible, but all it takes is just a little longer!

So let's get motivated! Live with your dream but don't just daydreaming.

Because by then you'll never know that you can build wonders.

7 BIG holes around the World + 1 in M'Sia?

Do you know that there are a few famous holes in our globe? All the while I assume that those big holes are volcano tubes until I found all these...

1. Kimberley Big Hole - South Africa

Apparently the largest ever hand-dug excavation in the world, this 1097 meter deep mine yielded over 3 tons of diamonds before being closed in 1914.

2. Glory Hole - Monticello Dam, California

A glory hole is used when a dam is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the reservoir This is the 'Glory Hole' at Monticello dam, and it's the largest in the world of this type of spillway, its size enabling it to consume 14,400 cubic feet of water every second.

3. Bingham Canyon Mine, Utah

This is supposedly the largest man-made excavation on earth. Extraction began in 1863 and still continues today, the pit increasing in size constantly. In its current state the hole is ≤ miles deep and 2.5 miles wide.

4. Great Blue Hole , Belize

This incredible geographical phenomenon known as ablue hole is situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize .There are numerous blue holes around the world, but none as stunning as this one.

5. Mirny Diamond Mine , Serbia

I'm pretty sure most people have seen this one. It's an absolute beast and holds the title of largestopen diamond mines in the world. At 525 metersdeep, with a top diameter of 1200 meters, there'seven a no-fly zone above the hole due to a fewhelicopters having been sucked in.

6. Diavik Mine, Canada

The mine is so huge and the area so remote that it hasits own airport with a runway large enough to accommodate a Boeing 737. It looks equally cool when the surrounding water is frozen.

7. Sinkhole in Guatemala

These photos are of a sinkhole that occurred early this year in Guatemala . The hole swallowed a dozen homes and killed at least 3 people.

But do you know there's also 1 in M'sia??
"It is capable of throwing out tons of SHIT daily and it is not humanly possible to shut it up !!!"

Can you guess where this is??

When I was busy compiling my report yesterday, I received this email from one of my friends... "Hey! Guess where this place is!"

So I clicked on it and scrolled down to glance through the photos. Oh, those are very nice photos of a company I guessed! Because 2 weeks before I actually received another attachment on "Google office Zurich". If you've never had an idea of how luxurious or cozy a work place could be, then take a look at this...

Cozy old English style interior...

A nicely decorated eggshell cubicle...

Hanging on a hammock while doing work...

Another special design of cubicle...

Physical and mental relaxation...

Even discussion can be so relaxing...

And you don't have to book a Karaoke room for after work entertainment...

And snooker table is ready anytime for stress release...

You can get a good massage when tired...

And the canteen...can you find this in your company??!!

Google! What a place...

So now...can you guess where this place is?

Now, what is your answer?
