Where to for a place to chit chat with your darlings while sipping tea in the weekends or free time? A place where you can do boutique shopping too, but away from the hustle and bustle in a shopping mall. Mom told me that she was here to check out some evening wear before, and asked me to pay a visit when I have a chance. So I did, we did, but we were here for a light dinner instead of tea time. I found this place a really comfortable one, I always like warm lighting ambiance at night, it can easily take away all the tension at work with a little soft background music.
Cakes and pastries too!
The syiok sendiri portraiture.
The menu are specially designed. Printed and pasted onto food trays. Some are pasted on some sushi roller mats.
A quick glance the cafe.
Strawberry Limau Juice in a very cute bottle.
Chicken Brunswick Stew. It tastes like minestrone soup or tomato soup with sliced chicken meat, small potato cubes, and corn. Served with baguette. Taste not bad.
Homemade Wild Mushroom Soup. I always like mushroom~ Thick enough.
Butter on my toasted baguette.
Homemade Bruschetta served with crinkled fries and side salad. Bruschetta is a type of snack or appetizer made of roasted bread rubbed with garlic and topped with extra-virgin olive oil, salt and pepper, with toppings of basil, fresh tomato, ham, garlic and onion and mozarella. Crunchy bites.
Spaghetti Mushroom Carbonara. In fact, that's Fettuccine, not Spaghetti. It's thick, and creamy, but a little too mild...? Maybe using only one type of mushroom is not good enough, only sliced button mushrooms and sausages cannot satisfy my taste buds. When it comes to mushroom, I prefer a few types of mushrooms blended together for gravy. Baby said my homemade pasta tastes better... But I'll still consider it okay, just try not to have the Wild Mushroom Soup before having this, because the soup tastes richer.
The meal was completed with the Dessert of the Day - Banana Smoothie topped with chocolate & almond chunks.
Such a big glass... or bottle to be precise of Strawberry Limau Juice... I couldn't finish it.
One setback for this place is parking problem. Advisable to park somewhere off the street before reaching this row of shops and walk there. It's right beside the main road (Burmah Road) so traffic is very busy and hard to reverse out your car when leaving.
