Buffet at Sarkies Corner, E&O Hotel

Princess Cheryl's thought of the day:- Zodiac prediction is accurate. Especially to me. WHY?? Frequent travelling this year... and yes, as soon as CNY arrived, my schedule is full! Vacation to Hanoi in Feb, biz trip to San Jose in Mar, biz trip to Singapore in April, QIC Regional Semi-finals to Siam Reap in May! Do I still have time to carry out my daily tasks in Penang??! But I just feel wonderful... it's like - Everybody needs Cheryl. =P

Recently the work load is killing me... That's why I've been away from blogging for quite a while. But luckily I still have a bunch of really great colleagues. Never could have enjoyed working life without them around. Another hard year has passed, therefore we went for a feast as usual. This time - Sarkies Corner @ E&O Hotel.

A colonial coffee shop that offers a wide selection of delicious local and international fare, where the choice is yours - à la carte or - if you simply can’t decide - help yourself to a little of everything in the spectacular buffet spread.

The long table as usual...with a few new members joining in.

As you can see, the whole restaurant was full of 'ang mor kau'. I think there were only 2 or 3 tables which were occupied by Asians.

Was almost CNY, decoration was as well using the Chinese red lanterns.

Come to the choices of food...

~Sashimi~

~Fruits and vege (some only for deco)~

~Dessert~

~BBQ meat~

~Soup and pasta~

~Grills~

~Salads and some oriental dishes~

"Anybody wants ice-kacang??"

Well, I was totally off from the shooting this time. KS took almost all the photos. So if the snapshot quality deviates, it's definitely not my problem lolz.. =p Suddenly I became KS' model of the day. Caught in the act!!!!

Okay, talk a little about the oysters. The sizes are as big as my palm, or even bigger! Looks delicious but I only able to swallow 2. Damn...I was laughing like a siao cha bo...duh..

My dish of grilled seafood.

Leoh's dish of cheesseeee.

After a few dishes, the gang had again started the camwhoring thang. Of course I was in!

The 2 guys in my team who always like to make people misunderstand that they are g*y. But in fact they're not.

My taukeh and taukeh-so and the baby in his mummy's tummy.

"Hahahha...whoever competes with me in the eating competition will surely lose."

Who can compete them for laughing - Jeffrey and Caroline. Everywhere they go you can hear their laughter.

Stop it TC! Saliva flying everywhere!

The "greedy" man.

Leoh started to get a little drunk?! Yea he's been drinking quite a lot. Free flow of wine!!

See?

Family photo time!

Full family photo.

There's always something funny happened. And this time before we left, SOMEONE fell off from the chair!! Guess who... Hahahaha... Well maybe we should have asked for some discount because of the mild injury.

I did it!! QIC Champion Team

Bring the beats on!!~ Let's party baby!! Appreciation dinner is over. Same for the party. It's our night!

Oh...I still can't get enough with the excitement, I screamed so loud in the auditorium at 12.25pm 16th Jan 2009. And then I received sms of "Congrats!"..

Yea, The Challengers had made it through! Jascha said the next challenge will be even more challenging as we're going to the Regional Finals!!! What a dream...representing my company. We'll be going to Siam Reap.

Weeks of sacrificing my sleep had paid off. I never could imagine that I made it through for both the teams involved. I love you all my fellow team mates!! I really do...you're just so great. Champion and 2nd Runner Up! OMG!

This thing is forever mine... How lovely you are... I'm still smiling even when I'm asleep. Might be no big deal for the experienced engineers, but hey, it's my first ever prize within my first 2 years of career. Isn't that a great achievement to a new engineer like me?? Oh...I could never make it through without the chances given. So thanks to the MT and my team!!

Although with the bloating look, puffy face and tired eyes...it's still the happiest day in my working life. Furthermore our QIC Appreciation Dinner and party was so damn great...specially for all of us.

And I think I can be a transformer too...quite a speed to change from tired to gorgeous just in 2 hours. =) Of course I gotta look great, how could I waste a glorious night and party?

Well, this is the only photo taken with my camera which I think I look pretty gorgeous. =P Ignore Peter, the focus is on me ok.

Is that just all I've got?? No NO NOOO!!! The photos are not in my camera, too bad. Guess you'll be interested to see my funny catwalk photos (being 'placed on the table' 摆上台 by the crowd) at the dinner. Next post maybe. And I still haven't check out my photos taken with KS, CS, Jeff, Noel, the pretty babes, Jojo, Jascha, Scott and all the bosses yet. =P

Chinatown at Night

Princess Cheryl's thought of the day:- I look so damn tired with puffy eyes and puffy face. It's been a week!!! I only get to bed at 2am every night. Competition is not easy...when I dream also I dream of slides and animation. Terrible! I'm having phobia with powerpoint right now. Thank goodness we finally get it done today. At least I' have time to rejuvenate my skin under the essence mask tonight. Need to look shine on Friday anyway~ It's gonna be our moment of glory!!

Already more than a week back from SGP, yet still don't have the time to finish my blog posts on SGP. Due to this was a business trip, I didn't get much time to do sightseeing but only do some light shopping and eating around where I lived. Where else but Chinatown?! A place where the Chinese culture is well preserved. I bet most of the non-Chinese foreigners like it really much. This post is basically more on photographs of Chinatown under the moonlight. Am very very tired after the working hours and so less words but more photos in my blog recently.
