I have a lot of food review yet to write... Not much time after working because darn tired. Today I'm gonna continue with another food review on a hidden gem. =) This restaurant serves really superb seafood dishes. It's quite different with seafood cuisine in Penang because in Penang we get to eat fresh seafood, most of the time the focus is only the seafood itself.
While this restaurant serves main course dishes cooked with seafood. Main course dish means seafood cooked with rice or noodle. This restaurant was recommended long ago but I don't think many people from outstation know about it. The boss is my uncle's friend.
Always almost full house. Because restaurant only opens until 3.30pm. Not on business for dinner...too bad.
You can order by looking at the photos on the side wall. Those are highly recommended.
Ok cut it short, here's our first dish -- Golden porridge (黄金粥). Why called golden porridge?
It's cooked with baby abalone!! Lots and lots of baby abalone!
Sluurrrpp!~
Second dish -- Prawn dumpling (虾丸).
Fresh prawn wrapped in dumpling skin. Sweet and juicy.
Vegetable (油菜). This is Kai Lan.
Prawn noodle (生虾面). Boiling~ boiling~
Big big prawn. =)
Big one!
Steam handmade fish ball (蒸丸). Springy and juicy. (^.")
Now the bill. Don't be surprised....the price is higher compare to what you expect. But you really pay for the quality of food. My baby said this shop only serves the best and the expensive dishes. Quite true also. Hahah... but I think what you paid is worthwhile for the taste.
The boss, 张家辉 (prounounced as Cheung Ka-Fai, same as the HK comedian who just won the Best Actor).
