Hello I'm in Singapore now~

Princess Cheryl's thought of the day:- Ik denk uiterst aan u... Sitting alone in the hotel room now makes me feel like rotting... Thought of going to Clarke Quay but it's really boring when I need to walk alone by the riverside when having foot ache...

This is me right now...tired eyes, oily face, and my legs are soring..



Finally I finished hanging all my clothes after bathed.



Been busy all day long since woke up at 8am this morning. I nearly overslept! Luckily I've checked in my flight last night or else...oooo...



It's my first business trip to Singapore (SGP). Been there for 2 times but was on vacation with family. First time we took a train, then for the second trip we went by bus. My third time to SGP...finally~ I can fly there, but for work!! In this period of recession, it's really killing my pocket if I need to pay for a flight.



The sky's gloomy since early morning, and raining still when I boarded the plane. Due to Christmas season, I can pretend that I'm travelling to some places which snows... Looking through the window.



39,000m above the sea, the sky's not that blue though...



Snacks served, but I forgot to see the name before I swallowed everything.



What I can remember is there were shrimp and cheese stuffed inside. Yummy cheezee~



Seats were not full, and beside me was vacant. Nothing to do in 1 hour...so I started camwhoring. Hahhaha... No make up, hopefully I don't look too pale. Actually I don't make up most of the time lar.



After landing, I boarded a taxi to the hotel. On the way I bid hello to 'THE EYE'. SGP really is a planned city, all the way from Changi Airport to Chinatown, there one word to describe all - straight. Roads are damn straight!



Well, I really love this sunshade. Love things with da' bling~bling~



If you wonder how 'small' my room is, I can get another 9 people to sleep on the floor.



And I have free internet access for 24 hours. Thus am chatting with you guys now lor. Some more there's a nice office table for me to put all my documents and laptop. Nice nail colour? KS said he saw piggy legs. #%$%#%



Nice armchair too...fit for a princess.

So, my first station was Chinatown. I walked from Furama City Centre to the Chinatown MRT station then search for the right exit.



Chinatown, of course you can see lots of lanterns and chinese-y decorations. Feels like walking in Hong Kong or China.



Thought of going into the Chinatown Heritage Centre but if not mistaken need to pay $$ lor. So I didn't go in. Heheh...save $$ for buying souvenirs.



All ready for the coming Chinese New Year. Lot more to buy. If only I have more $$ in my pocket.



Old folks meet up for leisure. So many old folks...



I walked for almost 2 hours yet cannot find any food that attracted me. Hmm...so I decided to turn back and take MRT to Bugis for food! Yeap. Bugis. Cheap and more choices. I'm thinking of ice-cream~ hot weather and I miss ice-cream.

Bid goodbye to Chinatown and off I went to Bugis.



Thought of going for some local delights but...erm...I walked into Swensons. Lamb chop with almond.

First time eating alone at overseas...haiz...



And Merri-Mint!! Oooo...ice-cream.



Christmas tree...my favourite tree of all time. Mine is only 3 ft at home...



Silver horses and glass ornaments. So romantic.



Here comes the interesting part - BUGIS STREET!! Buy all you can lor.



Just opposite Bugis Junction. Big contrast. Expensive vs. cheap.



There are plenty to eat.



And plenty to buy. I bought myself lots of face masks... Muahahahahahha.... I pamper my face all the while. =p



And guess what?! I found tteok-bok-ki at Bugis Junction!!



But the taste...erm...only 30% of that I had in Korea. Mainly because of the sauce. So after eating I wrote this post lor. Now need to say good night since tomorrow will be starting work already. No more fooling around.

Can you keep a secret?

Santa came to me this morning...and brought me something that I asked for. Colleagues kept asking me "WHO?!". I'm not gonna tell who my santa is....I've been smiling all day long...

Someone once said to me, "Secrets are meant to be told...secretly". I think it's quite true, because I'm sure most of you would have done this before...

"Hey..I got something to tell you, but make sure you don't tell other people ya."

In the end what happen? It becomes an open secret. Agree?

Now...I have a secret...not just secret but TOP SECRET. You get what I mean? Like those movie scenes in M.I.3...Top Secret! 3 more months then only it can be revealed. Instruction from top down, it's gonna be a surprise for everyone, only the involved can talk secretly about it...and it's driving me crazy! So there's no way I can tell..

Gosh! 3 months still... I'm waiting to see everyone's surprised face. =)

Starwalk 2008

Brought exclusively for you from Princess Cheryl...Penang Starwalk 2008.

Today I break my own record. I mean, I've never drive my stamina to the maximum because of my fast hearbeat rate. My family especially my mom always stop me from doing agressive exercise. I've tried to walk for continuous one hour once, but then today I doubled my record!!! Woohooo~ I finished the route in 1 hour 45 minutes nonstop. =) And coming back in a piece.

Waked up after receiving morning call from my bestie Ching Foong. They're already having breakfast!! You see, my house is just 5 minutes away from PISA (Penang International Sports Arena) so why would I wake up so early??! Going for dim sum at 5.30am?! That's a NO NO for me... Even though Noel said he'd go and ta pau the food, I still insisted that I'd have beverage at home then only meet them up.

The sky was still dark at 6.30am...I really didn't know why would I join this stupid walking competition lor.. Furthermore 'someone' did some mistakes when submitting my participation form and made me a non-competition walker!! Damn it! Only me became the outlyer.

More than 10,000 people participated in this event, and I really couldn't find them in the big crowd. OH NO~~ And then when I registered myself to get the yellow band as a qualified walker, the staff told me that the competition group walkers will start 15 minutes earlier. I felt like wanna strangle that 'someone' to death!

So okay, what can I do?? Luckily I brought along my LUMIX. =) My all time favourite best friend. Not motivated anymore to finish the track, but to snap photos for blogging lor.

I've never seen PISA so beautiful!!



Volunteers have started their tasks. So am I on photografieren.



Others have their group, but I'm alone... *sob sob*



Even the aunties got gang! I called my gang and they'd already started.



So I headed to the starting line and wait for the time to arrive.



Waiting...waiting... Wenzi has not yet reached. So it's impossible that I can get a partner for this walk then...



"READY, GET SET, GO!!"



I walked quite fast as I was hoping to be able to meet up with my gang somewhere on the way because they said they just passed the traffic light at the cross junction of FTZ. I was already reaching the first traffic light in front of Sunshine Square.



Ok, turning right heading towards the airport! But they were already in front of OSRAM. S.H.I.T.



Nothing much to do ler... Oh, airplane~ *snap*



Continue walking~walking~walking~ So I reached the junction in front of my neighbourhood.... Really felt like wanna make a turn and go back to sleep.



Then reach the roadside of Snake Temple. I started to notice that more and more competition group walkers were just in front of me. So was I really that fast?!



Walk walk walk walk and an hour passed. Finally reached TheStar office!!

The first stop is just another few hundred metres away!! I was so damn thirsty. Need to get some isotonic drinks.



100PLUS!!! I couldn't take any photos here because everyone was squeezing to grab a cuppa 100PLUS...



Then the journey continued~ Made a right turn at the airport and now at the second half of the route. Mission to be accomplished because really no turning back lar.



Was stuck in groups of competition walkers. Ok, I did move fast! The road was quiet and peaceful in morning breeze. You can even hear birds chirping. Some people switched on the radio speaker and I had free music too.



So then came the toughest part that I hate hate HATE the most - going uphill!!! Can you see the crowds in front?? Ants walking uphill.



Voluntary staffs standby along the roadside. I really thought of pretending to faint then maybe I can sit in the car and sent straight back to PISA without walking.



Arrgghhh...

Honestly if I need to carry my baby throughout the walk, I rather don't participate. I can be considered committing suicide...I'm not like others.



Yoohoo!!! PISA! PISA!! Can you see that?



Motivation's back because I need water!! But some people's motivation is based on food...running with 2 packets of nasi lemak!!



You know what, this is one of the happiest moment in my life -- the finishing line!!~



FINALLY I FINISHED THE COMPETITION!!! Erm...non-competition.



Time for reunion!! I rushed into the arena to look for my gang. They just arrived 5 minutes before me.



DIGI ballons everywhere. They seemed like had trademarked "yellow".



So what have they got in the booth? Free massage!



The exhausted me~



Breakfast for grab. Coffee..Milo...100PLUS...banana...biscuits...corn flakes in milk...



Now you see and now you don't...I mean the banana.



The Philips Lumileds walkers...



Blue sky and white cloud... Even the cloud also shaped like banana. Or was I too hungry then?



Resting in front of the swimming arena. Waiting for lucky draw moments.



We went into the arena at 10am. Looks more like a concert going on huh!



They even had Variety Show to entertain the people. Wenzi reached quite late because his gang made a stop in the middle of the competition and went for breakfast...walau!! Then later he went to the Bloggiful Event at Paradise Hotel so he left early.



So this is it. End of our walk and going home without even a prize. See my tired face...but Ching Foong still can smile.



The lucky draw ended at 1pm...so damn long because the emcee was damn cheong hei and the lucky winners were so slow to respond...and so I missed the fishing tournament at Queensbay. Aaarrgghhh!!! Sorry folks...couldn't make it there.

So will I go to Starwalk 2009?? Depends lor...but DEFINTELY A "NO" if I'm being grouped in the non-competition group AGAIN! Hey I'm qualified for the competition group wor!!
